I have downloaded the drivers and even hooked up an external cd drive and no sound. Even HP couldn't go figure offer me a dv11000.
Go to the device manager and click to expand the display adapters category. I hope that will do it. I recommend you force the XP graphics driver to install by using this method.
I also have same problesm. PC's with the Celeron processors can go to 2 x MB of memory. I kept checking around for the answer and then I was lucky and the drivers downloaded, but still no sound.
